Scott County is the adventure tourism capital of Tennessee … and for good reason. Nowhere else will you find as many adventure recreation opportunities as you’ll find here in Big South Fork Country.

We think of it like this: Our hiking trails are spectacular, and Honey Creek may be the best hike you experience in your life — period. But, on the whole, we might not be able to out-perform the Great Smoky Mountains. Our whitewater paddling is great, but it might not be quite as great as the Ocoee. Our rock climbing is magnificent, but maybe not quite as magnificent as the Red River Gorge. But when you add it all together — our hiking trails, our whitewater, our rock climbing routes, our world-class mountain biking trails and the equestrian trails that draw people from across the South — it’s hard to beat Big South Fork Country. You can come here, spend a week, and do something every day without doing the same thing twice. So, come on … be our guest!
