Scott County Visitor Center
Begin your visit to Scott County by dropping by the Scott County Visitor Center. Located on U.S. Hwy. 27 just north of the S.R. 63/U.S. 27 intersection, the Visitor Center is staffed by friendly faces with answers to any questions you may have about the things to see and do around Scott County. Pick up your Big South Fork backcountry camping permit, maps, and more.
The visitor center offers free wi-fi for guests. From Memorial Day through the end of October, the center is staffed by Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area park rangers on Saturday and Sunday, who can answer questions and provide information about the park. The visitor center is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (except Memorial Day through October).
