Community Parks

Looking for a quick place to picnic or let the kids stretch their legs after the drive to Scott County? Check out one of our municipal parks.

Oneida City Park

Oneida City Park is recognized as one of the best community parks in the region.

Maintained by the Town of Oneida, the park spreads over 60 acres and is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The park features a t-ball field, tennis court, outdoor basketball courts and soccer fields, an olympic-sized swimming pool, junior pool, and community center with gymnasium. A 34-acre lake is also featured, and is open for fishing. Two fishing piers are constructed on the water and a boat launch pad is available for public use (no gasoline motors). In addition to picnic tables throughout the park, several picnic shelters are available for reservation. The park also features a mile-long hiking trail.

Winfield City Park

The Town of Winfield maintains the Gen. Winfield Scott Memorial Park. The 44-acre park features soccer fields, outdoor basketball courts and a softball field, as well as a horse arena, one-mile walking trail and a community center.

The park is open from daylight to dark each day.

Huntsville City Park

Huntsville City Park is maintained by the Town of Huntsville. The park features a racquetball court and softball field, along with a walking trail, soccer field, playground and picnic shelter. Adjacent to the park is the 200-acre Flat Creek Reservoir, which is open to the public for fishing and includes a public boat launch pad (no gasoline motors).

The park is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
