The Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area’s visitor centers, including the Bandy Creek Visitor Center, are closed due to concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The Scott County Visitor Center is also closed.

The trails of the Big South Fork NRRA remain open — however, all ranger-led programs have been suspended indefinitely. Park rangers will be roving trailheads throughout the BSF to answer questions and provide information.

Campgrounds in the Big South Fork NRRA are closed. The Leatherwood Ford day use area — which is a popular picnic area while also serving as a trailhead for the Angel Falls Trail, Leatherwood Loop Trail and John Muir Trail, as well as an put-in/take-out for paddlers — is closed.
